LaFerla Concedes To Rosen In Md. Dem House Race

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland congressional candidate Wendy Rosen is focusing on the general election after her opponent conceded the race for the Democratic nomination in the 1st District.

Cockeysville businesswoman led Chestertown physician John LaFerla Thursday by 82 votes out of more than 25,000 cast after state election officials counted most of the absentee and provisional ballots.

LaFerla conceded on his Facebook page Wednesday.

Rosen will face Republican freshman Rep. Andy Harris in the Nov. 6 general election.

The 1st Congressional District includes parts of Carroll, Harford and Baltimore counties plus the Eastern Shore.
