BALTIMORE (AP) — Gov. Martin O’Malley will be talking about an initiative to partner Maryland’s leading academic institutions with promising technologies.

O’Malley will meet with entrepreneurs and business and university leaders at the Emerging Technologies Center in Baltimore on Friday.

After making remarks, the governor is scheduled to take part in a ribbon cutting for a new company.

O’Malley is also scheduled to appear on Baltimore-based media outlets.

He is also scheduled to speak at the Maryland Professional Firefighters Spring Conference that afternoon at the Baltimore Hilton Hotel.
