Frederick To Install More Than 100 Parking Meters

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- The city of Frederick is planning to repair roads and add more than 100 parking meters to several downtown blocks.

The Frederick News-Post reports that the meters will be installed on East and West Church Street and All Saints streets, as well as East Patrick Street. Officials have also decided to place a two-hour limit on parking on Winchester Street.

Steve Johnson, of the parking department, estimates the meters will generate between $21,000 and $43,000 annually.

The Board of Aldermen also decided to amend this year's budget to pay for $1 million worth of street repairs.
