BGE Standard Electricity Price To Bring Decrease

BALTIMORE (AP) -- BGE customers will see an average of $54 decrease for a year with the utility's standard electricity price that takes effect in June.

The Public Service Commission announced the decrease is a result of the bidding that takes place twice a year with wholesale providers.

The PSC accepted bids from BGE and other utilities in the state to supply electricity to residential and commercial customers.

The break for BGE customers applies from June through May 2013.
