Juveniles Admit To Taking Part In Girl's Death

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Two boys charged with fatally shooting a 13-year-old girl in the chest and hiding her body under trash bags in Baltimore have admitted to their roles in the slaying.

A 13-year-old boy made the juvenile court equivalent of a guilty plea to involuntary manslaughter Tuesday for accidentally shooting Monae Turnage on March 3. A 12-year-old admitted to being an accessory to the crime for helping move her body.

Police have said the children apparently were playing when the gun went off.

The Baltimore Sun reports that a sentencing hearing will be held later this month.
