20-30 Students Mob 7-Eleven, Assault Owner On Free Slurpee Day

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police say between 20 and 30 middle school students entered a downtown 7-Eleven Wednesday afternoon and reportedly began to shoplift and got into a physical altercation with the owner.

According to WJZ's media partner, The Baltimore Sun, the 7-Eleven--which is at the corner of Light and East Pratt--was offering a promotion for free Slurpees.

The store owner wasn't seriously hurt, according to police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.

No arrests were made and Guglielmi didn't know what school the students were from.
