Body Of Boater Recovered After Crash Near Bay Bridge

GRASONVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities ended their search Monday morning for a 42-year-old man who was thrown into the Chesapeake Bay after a 21-foot pleasure vessel hit a stone jetty near the Bay Bridge.

A crew from the Maryland Natural Resources Police recovered the man 10 yards away from the scene.

The accident occurred around 11 p.m. Sunday at the Kent Narrows. Maryland Natural Resources police say one of four passengers was thrown into the water.

Two other passengers--a 50-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman--suffered serious injuries and were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

The remaining person was uninjured.
