College Student Who Admitted To Eating Parts Of Family Friend Posted Dark Thoughts On Internet

JOPPATOWNE, Md. (WJZ)—A confessed cannibal. We're learning new details about the man accused of killing his roommate and then eating his body parts.

Meghan McCorkell has more on the disturbing developments.

Alexander Kinyua, 21, was just expelled from Morgan State University for attacking another student. And recent ramblings on the Internet give some insight into a very troubled mind.

Kinyua used an image of his face covered with war paint to promote his Internet radio show, "Warrior Syndicate Radio," --a program for warriors skilled in combat within the context of a tribal or clan-based society.

It's just one of the frightening internet footprints Kinyua left behind before his shocking confession.

"He admitted to killing our missing person, Mr. Kodie, and cutting him up with a knife," said Sheriff L. Jesse Bane of Harford County. "Human remains, specifically a head and hands, were recovered on the main floor of the residence."

Kujoe Agyei-Kodie, 37, was living with Kinyua's family in Joppatowne and had been reported missing.

Kinyua told police he dismembered the body and then ate parts of his heart and brain. Just days before the killing, Kinyua posted dark thoughts on his Facebook page about human sacrifices, dark minds and death cults.

Fellow students who lived in his same dorm are in shock.

"He was just a guy that stayed to hisself. I had a couple encounters with him. But for the most part he was pretty normal, I guess," one student said.

But two weeks ago police say Kinyua attacked another student with a baseball bat in the dorms and fractured the victim's skull, arm and shoulder. The victim was also blinded in the left eye.

Friends say he'd been acting strange since January when he was thrown out of the ROTC program.

"I heard he may have been a bit out of the ordinary at times," said Damete Roberts, Morgan State University sophomore.

More disturbing thoughts on a Twitter page linked to Kinyua were discovered by WJZ's media partner, the Baltimore Sun.

In December he writes "judgment day is here" and "the order in chaos" messages, indicating he may have been on the brink.

WJZ has learned the victim in this case was also kicked out of Morgan State back in 2008 after he was accused of aggressively stalking women. A grad student at Morgan State, Agyei-Kodie-- a native of Ghana-- held several master's degrees.

Kinyua is currently being held without bail on first-degree murder charges.
