The pageant was held at the Planet Hollywood casino on the Las Vegas Strip and had three competitions: swimsuit, evening gowns and interview question.

Meriwether attended Sidwell Friends School, the same school President Obama’s daughters attend. She co-founded a nonprofit, The Meriwether Foundation, that operates in five countries in southern Africa.
