SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police say a Texas prisoner has been arrested in a 2003 sexual assault in Silver Spring.

Detectives on Thursday returned Martinez, 30, to Montgomery County to face charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual offense, first-degree assault and kidnapping. Police say the sexual assault involved a 23-year-old Silver Spring woman who was attacked after parking her car and walking to her home. Police say the woman lost consciousness after being choked and woke to find a man sexually assaulting her.
