Md. State Police Save Jet Ski Operators From Creek
EASTON, Md. (AP) -- Two jet ski operators stranded in a Maryland creek have been rescued.
The state police say a helicopter crew rescued the pair by basket late Monday night from Skipton Creek.
Officials say an 18-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man became stranded in the area of U.S. Route 50 between Wye Mills and Easton after grounding their jet skis in the mud in the middle of the creek.
Talbot County officials contacted state police for help in locating and rescuing the pair.
Officials from the Maryland Natural Resources police are investigating.
