BWI Awarded $12M Grant For Runways
LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport has been awarded a $12 million grant to improve and upgrade runaways.
The Capital of Annapolis reports that the grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation will be used for the first phase of bringing Runway 10-28 up to Federal Aviation Administration safety standards. The project will include improving the pavement, expanding the shoulder and erecting new signs.
Construction is set to start in August and be finished by September.
