Md. Staff Sergeant Dies In Afghanistan
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore loses another native son in battle and a nation offers its gratitude.
Staff Sergeant Brandon Pepper died Saturday in Afghanistan when his unit came under attack.
Sergeant Pepper was a 1999 graduate of Kenwood High School.
This was his first tour in Afghanistan but he also served in Iraq.
He is being posthumously awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and four other medals.
