Maryland Senate Passes Bill Making All Dog Owners Liable For Attacks

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)-- The Maryland Senate has passed an amended version of the bill declaring pit bulls as an "inherently dangerous" breed. The new mandate makes all dog owners liable for attacks. The vote passed 41-1.

Advocates wanted lawmakers to change the Court of Appeals decision that singled pit bulls out and made their owners liable for attacks.

The House of Delegates will vote on the issue next.
