3 Taken To Hospital After 2 House Fires In Md.

PASADENA, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say two people suffered smoke inhalation and another suffered burns in separate house fires in Anne Arundel County.

Division Chief Michael Cox, a county fire department spokesman, tells The Baltimore Sun that crews first battled a fire at a townhouse on Della Rosa Court in Pasadena about 7:50 p.m. Sunday. Cox says a man in the home suffered serious but non-life threatening burns and was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

At about 9 p.m., Cox says crews were called to another fire at a home Wilben Road in Linthicum.  A man and woman escaped the home before crews arrived but suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment.

Both fires remain under investigation.
