Teenage Girl Fatally Shot

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say a 17-year-old girl has been shot and killed at a home in Upper Marlboro.

Police say the shooting was reported about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at a home on Chartsey Street. Arriving officers found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound and she was pronounced dead a short time later. She has not been identified.

Cpl. Larry Johnson, a police spokesman, says authorities are investigating the death as a homicide.

No further details were immediately available.
