Prince George's Co. Police Hold Second Suspect In Officer's Death Without Bond

BELTSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- Prince George's County police are holding the second suspect in the death of a police officer on I-95 without bond.

Kevon Neal, 23, turned himself in to police Thursday night. Neal had been charged in a warrant for auto theft. Police say Neal has probation violations in several jurisdiction.

Neal is the second suspect in the case. Another suspect, Kenneth Mitchell, 24, of Washington D.C. was an occupant of a car that two officers were chasing on I-95 in Beltsville on Monday afternoon. The officers' car ran off the highway and crashed into a ditch, and Officer Adrian Morris, 23, was killed.

Morris was a native of Kingston, Jamaica, and had been on the force for 2 1/2 years.  He is the 27th Prince George's County officer to die in the line of duty.
