Unexploded Military Artillery Round Found At Marina In Chestertown

CHESTERTOWN, Md. (WJZ)-- A bomb squad has cordoned off roads in Chestertown after military explosives were found on the side of the road.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the owner of Worton Creek Marina on Buck Neck Road found the 75 mm military ordnance at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bruce Bouch, the deputy state fire marshal, said they believe the ordnance may be live and that bomb squads from Aberdeen are helping with disabling the ordnance.
