43rd U.S. Sailboat Show Opens In Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) --Organizers of the 43rd United States Sailboat Show in Annapolis are expecting to attract tens of thousands of people this year.

The show opened Thursday at City Dock and harbor and will run for five days.

The event brings together a range of vessels, accessories and navigational equipment.

Visitors can also take advantage of seminars at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

Organizers are expecting as many as 50,000 to turn out for the show.

The sailboat show is followed by the United States Powerboat Show, which begins Oct. 11.

Both shows are the oldest and largest in-water boat shows in the world.
