Wicomico State's Attorney's Office Seeks New Home

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- The Wicomico County State's Attorney's Office is seeking a new home after being asked to leave its space at the county Circuit Court building.

WBOC-TV reports that the office was asked to move to make room for the court. The office has been at the building for the past 22 years, and has seen its workload and staff increase over that time.

State's Attorney Matt Maciarello says the office is at maximum capacity and that a new office would provide more meeting space.

The office is looking for a long-term lease, which the county expects to come with an annual rent of $300,000 a year.
