I-95 Reopens After Tanker Truck Collision

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. (WJZ) -- An 8,000-gallon tanker truck overturned on I-95 North along the Millard E. Tydings Memorial Bridge.

Captain Jeff Long reports it leaked a significant amount of diesel fuel on the highway.

It happened around 8 a.m. Tuesday after an accident involving a passenger vehicle.

Northbound lanes were closed until the roads were cleaned up. Traffic from the Maryland Route 22 exit was diverted to the Route 40 exit.

A hazmat team was on the scene.

Northbound lanes reopened by 4 p.m., but southbound lanes remained open throughout the day.
