Western Md. Woman To Lead State Library Association

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The head of technical services for the Washington County and Western Maryland Regional libraries is set to lead the Maryland Library Association.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that Carrie Willson-Plymire has been elected as vice president/president-elect of the association. Her term began on July 1 and she will become president of the organization in July 2013.

Willson-Plymire graduated from St. John's College in Annapolis and joined the Washington County Free Library as a full-time reference librarian in 2006. Two years later she became head of technical services.

Willson-Plymire has also served as chair of the Maryland-Delaware Library Associations' annual conference for the past two years.
