All But 2 Md. Parks Open Again Following Sandy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- All but two of Maryland's state parks are now open following cleanup and repairs from Superstorm Sandy.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources says Herrington Manor and Swallow Falls in Garrett County remain closed. The Manor area of Cunningham Falls in Frederick County remains closed, but the Houck area is open. And Dan's Mountain in Allegany County is open, but with limited services and access.

Eleven of the state's 66 parks were closed following the late October storm. Sandy lashed the coast and central Maryland with rain and strong winds while snow buried parts of Western Maryland.
