Sykesville Man Allegedly Set Wife's Hair On Fire

SYKESVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A Sykesville man faces assault and reckless endangerment charges for allegedly setting his wife's hair on fire during a dispute.

The Carroll County Times  reported Thursday that John Michael Boone, 43, is free on $20,000 bail.

He was arrested Tuesday by a sheriff's deputy who was called to the couple's home for a reported domestic dispute.

Police say Boone lit up his wife's hair after a verbal and physical altercation. They say she quickly extinguished the fire.

Boone couldn't be reached Thursday for comment. His home telephone line was constantly busy. Court records do not list a defense attorney.
