KINGSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — A head-on collision leaves one man dead in Kingsville.

Police say William Strayer Jr., 26, was pronounced dead at Franklin Square Hospital after his car was struck by a pickup truck Friday around 6 a.m.

It occurred at the intersection of Philadelphia Road and Bradshaw Road.

An initial investigation suggests that a truck crossed the center line between Philadelphia Road and Pfeffers Road and collided with another car. Strayer was a passenger in the hit vehicle.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where they are hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Philadelphia Rd between Pfeffers Rd and Bradshaw Rd will remain closed in both directions while the investigation continues.
