Ocean City Gets OK To Improve Water System

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- The Worcester County Commissioners have agreed to let Ocean city improve its water system.

The Ocean City revised Capital Improvement Plan includes projects as the new water main between 45th and 51st Streets, currently under way. It also includes building a new water treatment plant at the 66th Street.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports that Ocean City's water system must have adequate capacity to serve the peak season population, which is estimated to be more than 380,000 by 2025.
