2 Law Enforcers Injured In Separate Crashes

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say two law enforcement officers were injured in separate crashes in Anne Arundel County.

Anne Arundel County police say one of their officers was injured when his cruiser rolled in Severna Park early Tuesday.

Officer Richard Stang was driving when an animal appeared. Police say Stang swerved to avoid the animal, and the cruiser rolled onto the driver's side and slid.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that Stang was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say about 6 p.m. Monday, a Department of Natural Resources Police officer was involved in a crash in Pasadena while responding to help another officer with uncooperative people.

The officer, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
