Man Arrested For Firing Shots Outside Charles Village Pub

TOWSON, Md. (WJZ)-- Baltimore County Police have arrested and charged a man for a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Towson.

Francis Minsung Kang, 26, of Cockeysville, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and the use of a handgun while committing a felony.

Baltimore County Police officers on routine patrol heard several gunshots coming from the area of the unit-block of W. Chesapeake Avenue just after 2 a.m.

The officers immediately stopped a truck they observed fleeing the scene. Further investigation revealed that an altercation occurred between Kang and at least two others outside of the Charles Village Pub.

While departing the location, police say Kang threw a bottle of Gatorade at a woman. A fight ensued as a result and Kang pulled out a handgun and fired five shots into a crowd of people.

A man was hit in the hand by one of the bullets. The male victim was treated for a minor gunshot wound, but his condition is unknown.

Kang is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
