SHA Announces Traffic Changes On US 40
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The State Highway Administration has announced several changes on US 40.
Traffic will shift Wednesday night into Thursday morning on the eastbound US 40 bridge over the Patapsco River. Traffic will be shifted onto the newly constructed eastbound bridge. The change should cause minimal problems for drivers.
On Dec.27, westbound traffic will be shifted. The traffic will be down to one lane for several months. Officials are doing this to remove the temporary walls on the roadway. The right lane on westbound US 40 will be closed through early spring.
Motorists along westbound US 40 will experience delays heading toward Howard County.
Drivers are asked to use I-695 to I-70 to US 29 or using Frederick Road through downtown Ellicott City, depending on their ultimate destination.
