Howard Co. Student Hit By Car While Walking To School

CLARKSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County Police are investigating an incident where a 17-year-old male student was struck by a vehicle as he was walking to River Hill High School.

Police responded to Linden Linthicum Lane in Clarksville around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver of a 1998 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Linden Linthicum Lane, near Little Bells Row, when the vehicle struck the student, Matthew Curley, who was crossing in the crosswalk.

Curley was transported to Shock Trauma.  He is in stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Neil Aggarwal, 35. A passenger has been identified as Seema Madhu Kakade, 35. The car stopped at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.  No charges have been filed.
