Catonsville Homeowner Takes Picture Of Alleged Burglar

CATONSVILLE, Md. (AP/WJZ) -- Baltimore County Police say a homeowner snapped a picture of a man who allegedly tried to break into his house.

Officers say the homeowner arrived at his house in the 600-block of North Bend Road about 1 p.m. on Jan. 2 and saw a man trying to break into the front door.

The homeowner confronted the man. The suspect fled on foot, but not before the homeowner was able to take his picture with his cell phone.

Police have released the picture and are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.

The man is described as a black male, between 40 to 50 years old, who is about 5'8" tall and 220 pounds. He was seen carrying a set of hedge trimmers or bolt cutters and a blue nylon bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Baltimore County Police Department or Metro Crime Stoppers.
