Brown To Announce MVA Services For Veterans

LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- Two new services will be available for veterans through the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.

Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown will join state transportation department officials on Monday and various veterans organizations to talk about the new services at an event at the American Legion Post 60 in Laurel.

The MVA is offering a veteran indicator on drivers' licenses and identification cards to help veterans easily identify themselves to access available services and resources.

The MVA also is implementing a streamlined process this month for veterans to obtain commercial driver's licenses as allowed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
