Baltimore Native Danny Wiseman Elected To Bowling Hall Of Fame

SEATTLE (AP) -- Doug Kent, winner of 10 Professional Bowlers Association Tour titles, including four major championships, and Danny Wiseman, a 12-time tour winner with one major, are going into the PBA Hall of Fame.

Commissioner Tom Clark says Friday that Kent, of Newark, N.Y., and Wiseman, of Baltimore, will be inducted during the PBA's Hall of Fame dinner on March 30 in Indianapolis. No candidate on the Meritorious Service or PBA50 Tour ballots received the required two-thirds majority of votes cast needed for election.

Kent and Wiseman, both 45, have had remarkably similar careers. Wiseman joined the PBA in 1987 and has earned just over $1.55 million. Kent joined the PBA in 1988 and has earned just over $1.51 million.

In the voting for the 50 greatest players in PBA history during the organization's 50th anniversary celebration in 2009, Wiseman was ranked 42nd and Kent 43rd.
