Takoma Park Man Arrested Over Borrowed Car Dispute

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick Police say a Takoma Park man was arrested and three people were injured in a dispute over a borrowed car.

Police say an unidentified woman called about 11 p.m. Friday and said a man with a knife had broken into her home in the 400- block of West South Street. Police say officers who arrived at the home subdued a suspect and recovered a knife. The officers also found blood at the scene that turned out to be from a family member and acquaintance who came to her aid.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The two men were treated and released from Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Police say Reginald Derrek Dowston of Takoma Park was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
