Mother Charged In 9-Month-Old Daughter's Death
JOPPA, Md. (WJZ) -- Qucelia Yvette Baldeo has been charged with murder in her 9-month-old daughter's death.
Police received a report of a child in cardiac arrest Tuesday afternoon. The baby, Salena Olivia Weber, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police officials say Baldeo also tried to kill herself by slashing her wrists. She is in critical condition at an area hospital.
Baldeo, 19, has been charged with first- and second- degree murder, first-degree assault and child abuse.
