Mother Charged In 9-Month-Old Daughter's Death
JOPPA, Md. (WJZ) -- Qucelia Yvette Baldeo has been charged with murder in her 9-month-old daughter's death.
Police received a report of a child in cardiac arrest on January 29. The baby, Selena Olivia Weber, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police believe that Baldeo repeatedly injected her daughter with insulin.
Police officials say Baldeo also tried to kill herself by slashing her wrists.
Baldeo, 19, has been charged with first- and second- degree murder, first-degree assault and child abuse. She is currently being held without bond at the Harford County Detention Center.
