Power Outage In Prince George's Affects Andrews

The Pepco utility company says a fallen tree cut power to thousands of customers in Prince George's County and the District of Columbia.

The outages Friday afternoon included parts of Joint Base Andrews.

Pepco says about 50,000 customers were out at the peak of the problem. About 46,000 were still without power around 2:30 p.m.

Capt. Lindy Singleton at Andrews says power has been fully restored to the base. She says she's unaware of any critical operations affected by the incident.
