Ed Norris: Should Football Players Make $120,000,000?

Of course not, but they do so please stop calling in with this issue.

As a former police officer I agree that cops, firefighters, teachers, soldiers etc all are woefully underpaid. However, it has absolutely no bearing on what a quarterback makes in the NFL earns or an actor is paid for a film. The comparison is completely flawed so let's not waste anymore time debating it.

Let's just agree that athletes are overpaid, public servants are underpaid and enjoy the fact that our quarterback is now the most highly paid player in the history of the NFL.

Enjoy the fact that from today until the opening kickoff of the 2013 season the entire country will be watching every move the Ravens make. Years like this don't happen often and for many teams and their cities they NEVER happen.

Be happy for number 5 and enjoy the ride.
