Ocean City Issues Weather Alert Due To Flooding

OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ)— Ocean City has issued a weather alert due to minor flooding and standing water.

Ocean City Emergency Personnel are advising citizens to avoid the south end of Ocean City.

The resort town expects heavy rain and sustained winds of 35 to 40 mph gusting in excess of 50 mph from Wednesday evening into Thursday.

Snow accumulations in the coastal areas of one inch or less are expected.

The next high tide for Ocean City is Thursday at approximately 3:20 a.m.

Due to high tide cycles and northeast winds, moderate flooding and some beach erosion is expected.
