Steve asked Joe if the Elvis signing meant that Elvis and Courtney Upshaw would platoon at outside linebacker or if both would see the field at the same time. Joe said that this signing makes Courtney Upshaw a very dangerous man and it gives John Harbaugh options.

Joe said he'll fit perfectly into our 3-4 defensive scheme because now the Ravens have brought in a solid defensive line rotation and it will open things up for our linebackers and Elvis will take advantage with his speed.

Joe said that Michael Huff is still an option for the Ravens at safety, and that the Ravens really like Albert McLellan and Josh Bynes to fit into the middle.

Bob asked Joe about the corner situation and how much it hinges on Webb coming back healthy. Joe said it rests on that completely because Lardarius Webb is statistically one of the best corners in the game. Joe said the Ravens still believe Webb and Smith will be a solid corner combo.

Steve asked Joe about whether or not the players who left were sent away because of the "John Harbaugh Doghouse". Joe said he believes that is the case because Harbaugh doesn't like change and would have kept these guys if they fit into his mold.
