Orioles Place 3 On DL, Add Pearce
SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) -- Right-hander Steve Johnson, left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada and infielder Wilson Betemit have been put on the 15-day disabled list by the Orioles.
Johnson, who has a back injury, was put on the DL retroactive to March 23. Wada (left elbow) was retroactive to March 22 and Betemit (right knee) to March 26.
Baltimore also selected the contract of outfielder Steve Pearce from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, a day after the Orioles said he had made the opening-day roster.
Of the 25 players on the active roster, only two are new to the team: left-hander T.J. McFarland and infielder Alexi Casilla.
