Courthouse Repairs Continue After Flooding

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Workers at Courthouse East are still cleaning up the mess left behind by a leaky pipe.

Water damage was discovered Monday in the basement of the courthouse.

Workers traced the damage to a busted pipe in a fourth floor office.

The water supply was immediately shut off, preventing further damage.

Electricity was also powered down as a precaution.

Restoration crews have been working to remove water-damaged carpet and ceiling tiles from four floors of the courthouse.

The building's historic paintings were not harmed and court officials say furniture damage is minimal.

Power is expected to be restored sometime Thursday.
