2 Men Charged In Ocean City With Passing Counterfeit Currency

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Ocean City police have arrested two men they say tried to pay businesses with counterfeit money.

Officers say starting on April 2, authorities received reports of fake currency from local businesses. During an investigation, police identified two suspects.

Derrick Ryan Richardson, 25, of Parsonsburg and Justin Michael Scanlon, 26, of Ocean City have been charged with knowingly issuing counterfeit United States currency, theft and other offenses.
