D.C. Pediatrician Faces Federal Child Porn Charges

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A pediatrician who has practiced for decades in Washington has been charged with child pornography possession.

A criminal complaint states that when FBI agents arrived at 73-year-old Dr. Robert Dickey's office in his southeast Washington home on Wednesday, he was viewing a website with child pornography. Officials say there's no indication that the images on Dickey's computer involved his patients.

An FBI spokeswoman says Dickey, who is charged with possession of child pornography, will be held until an initial appearance on Thursday.

Court documents state that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children learned last month that 14 pornographic images were uploaded to an address linked to Dickey. According to those documents, Dickey told investigators that he downloads child pornography and stores it on an external hard drive.
