Rob Long: Oriole Fans Singing A Different Tune

My, how things have changed in the Charm City. There was a time when Baltimore Oriole fans would love to "just win a series". Now, that's almost not good enough. Fans want sweeps and not just winning two out of three.

The O's won the first two games of a brief homestand against the Kansas City Royals and were looking to take all three on Thursday. Freddy Garcia was on the mound in his second start of the season, looking to duplicate the great outing from Saturday.

Garcia gave up two homeruns in the fourth inning and that seemed to be enough for K.C. as they were able to salvage one game at Camden Yards.

It wasn't long ago when you were hoping that the Orioles would win. Now, fans have come to expect for their team to win. There's disappointment when it doesn't happen but that's a good thing. This team has changed the culture of baseball in this city. Contrary to popular opinion the 2012 season was not a fluke. They have taken that style of play and winning and seemingly trademarked it. It's safe to say that the Orioles "out gut" you even when they don't out play you. I guees that's the definition of Buckle Up.
