Western Md. Humane Society Plans Spay Clinic
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The Humane Society of Washington County is planning to build a spay-and-neuter clinic as an expansion to the existing shelter.
Ground will be broken on the $2.2 million, 7,000-square-foot clinic during the summer. It is expected to be completed in March or April.
Currently, the Humane Society takes animals to veterinarians in the area for spaying and neutering. Executive Director Michael Lausen tells the Herald-Mail of Hagerstown that performing the procedures in-house will save money.
