WEATHER BLOG: Humid Air Approaching

The leading edge of some much warmer and more humid air is slowly advancing through the Mid-Atlantic. The combination of any breaks of sunshine along with increasing dew points and temps could fire up an isolated shower or t-storm by the afternoon and evening so we will be keeping a very close eye on that.

Otherwise, once we get past Tuesday and early night, we will have a prolonged stretch of dry weather. Also, the season's hottest air mass thus far will be moving in and persisting into the upcoming weekend. I'm talking 90s and some serious humidity!

How long will the heat last? There is still some uncertainty about the timing of a cold front this weekend, which could arrive as early as Sunday afternoon or as late as Monday. #mdwx
