Body Found In North Branch Is That Of Missing Man

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a body found in the North Branch of the Potomac River in Cumberland is that of a missing man.

Maryland Natural Resources Police say a man and his son who were kayaking Thursday found a body in the water about a mile downstream from the Mason South End Recreational Complex.

The body was identified as 36-year-old Jason Leonard Crawford Sr. of Cumberland. He had been reported missing May 15.

The body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Baltimore to determine the cause of death.
