Woman Killed, Man Critically Injured In ATV Crash

MOUNT AIRY, Md. (AP) -- The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says a woman was killed and a man was critically injured when an ATV crashed into a utility box and a tree.

Officials say 45-year-old Stacey Ranee May was driving her ATV in Mount Airy on Sunday, when she lost control and crashed.

The sheriff's office says paramedics pronounced May dead at the scene.

Her passenger, 52-year-old Wilson Henry McCraw Jr. of Frederick, was taken to Shock Trauma in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
