Orioles Hall of Famer Jim Palmer

Orioles Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Palmer joined Baltimore's 105-7 THE FAN Thursday morning to discuss the woes of Pedro Strop in his outing last night against the LA Angels. Palmer believes that Strop is working hard to get out of his current pitching slump, but is having a hard time because it has become a mental problem, not just a physical one.

He says the Orioles starting pitching has been getting better throughout the season and, while it would be nice to have Chen back, they are still improving. He also talks about the Erick Aybar triple and throwing error where Strop should have backed up third, but was in the wrong place.

He moves on to mention the upcoming series with the Boston Red Sox and the race in the AL East. He then brings up the Baseball Hall of Fame and how not one player was inducted this year and the problem with steroids in this age of the MLB.
